Motorcycle Shop Owner Donates Percentage of Special Kawasaki Motorcycle to Children’s Charity
Littleton, CO – June 19, 2007 - Bill Comegys, owner of Grand Prix Motorsports in Littleton Colorado, wanted to do something special for Racing 2 Save Lives and put out a challenge for other shops to become more creative in making a difference. “We thought it would be kinda’ cool to set up a specially prepped 2007 Kawasaki ZX6R, participate in the Miller event and then sell it with the intent of donating a percentage of the sale price in both our name and the purchaser,” explained Bill. “Adam Berry got a fabulous bike and helped R2SL. I hope that this inspires other dealerships to think outside the box with ways to help out Racing 2 Save Lives.”
“This is so cool; I wasn’t able to go out this year, but Bill and Grand Prix gave me the opportunity to help out,” Berry exclaimed. “I can’t wait to come out and ride next year!”
“Bill and his crew really went the extra mile for us this year. They were involved in sponsoring items in our silent auction and came out from Colorado to ride with us,” remarked R2SL President Sharon Foxworthy. “We had no idea that they wanted to do something above and beyond the event, I am amazed by their generosity!”
Racing 2 Save Lives is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children's charities by raising awareness, involvement, and capital within the motorcycling community through donations, corporate sponsorship and fundraising events.
