April 3, 2007 Racing 2 Save Lives Unveils New LogoDENVER – Racing 2 Save Lives, organizer of track-day events that raise funds for children’s charities, has unveiled a striking new logo to coincide with the first R2SL event of 2007, to be held May 3-6 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. The new R2SL logo, which can be seen on the organization’s website (www.racing2savelives.org), was designed by acclaimed moto-cartoonist Walt Hackensmith, who has created memorable images of many of motorcycling’s iconic heroes, for Michelin, Honda of Canada, Gaerne, Renthal and many other clients. Some of Hackensmith’s best work can be viewed at www.hackensmith.com. “We’re extremely fortunate to work with an artist of Walt’s talent,” said R2SL President Sharon Foxworthy. “He’s captured perfectly the essence of what our events are all about: serious speed and serious fun.” Foxworthy added that the new logo will be prominently featured on R2SL t-shirts and other apparel that will be available for sale at Miller Motorsports Park during the event. Racing 2 Save Lives is open to riders of all skill levels, even to those who have never participated in a track-day event. Experienced staff from ApexTrackDays and Madison Racing will be on hand to provide riding and safety instruction to riders who are new to the track environment, at no charge. Registration for R2SL at Miller Motorsports Park is now open at www.racing2savelives.org. In 2006, R2SL donated more than $65,000 to its designated charities. This year, Racing 2 Save Lives expands to two venues, with a second event at VIRginia International Raceway on August 14-17. Racing 2 Save Lives is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children's charities by raising awareness, involvement, and capital within the motorcycle racing community through donations, corporate sponsorship and fundraising events. |
